The profits for all the users are updated at the same time and that is, untill the 5th of each month. The profits of of october were available at your accounts on november 5th.
Dear Phapukoe, regarding your doubt, each month, Shvoong shares 10% out of its revenue from publicity between writers, according to the popularity of their abstracts. The royalties of a translated abstract are shared between its translator and its writer. As your royalties depend both on the site's revenue and on your number of readers, there is no fixed payment for a certain number of readers.
In general, I can say that a considerable amount of surfers (several thousands) is required to make any profit at this point. This may take time; however your profits will continue accumulating from month to month, and are expected to increase with the site's growth.
Shvoong cannot yet constitute a real income source. It is rather a fun, helpful way to share your knowledge with others, be a part of an international community, practice your writing skills and perhaps even earn some money.
